The Hill Climb is

Beulah is fighting the Oak Ridge Fire.
We’re pausing the Hill Climb for 2024.
We're going to hold off on the Twelvemile Hill Climb for this year so we can focus on supporting the Beulah Valley’s firefighting & mitigation efforts. Hotshot crews are staying IN the Pueblo Mountain Park (our venue), and an additional 400+ fire and operations folks are staying in the Valley right now and potentially into August. We want to support their efforts and avoid creating any additional variables for response teams.
This is our community. You can support efforts and our nonprofit partners by donating directly to Beulah Fire Protection District (based right in the Valley) or the Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center (hosting fire crews at the Mountain Park and always providing nature education and wildlife rehab!)
From Beulah, Colorado with love:
3,400’ of elevation gain in 11 miles
with an ice cream afterparty
One of Colorado’s hardest gravel climbs.
We did the research.
EVERYONE is welcome here.
Full support + aid stations + no cutoff time
Ice Cream afterparty + food trucks at the historic Horseshoe Lodge
We want to see as many FIRST-timers as FAST-timers

A truly epic climb
at the heart of Colorado’s outdoor history
It’s worth noting that regardless of which method you use to categorize a climb, Twelvemile stands out amongst ALL the major gravel climbs in Colorado. This climb is glorious, and this event is going to be the place to set your best time or your first time.
Let’s struggle together, support each other up this thing, and celebrate together at the bottom.
Twelvemile is a rare gem in Colorado. It’s low traffic, huge gain, big views, and some of our favorite corners we’ve EVER ridden. Plus, the area has MASSIVE outdoor recreation history. The first designated recreational unit in the entire US Forest Service is Squirrel Creek, just north. If you’ve camped or played outside on USFS lands…Squirrel Creek came first. Wild, right?
Oh, and Twelvemile is also featured on the 110 mile route of Grassroots Gravel 2024 in October!
The Route
Total distance: 20.4 miles
Timed distance: 11.4 miles
Total elevation gain: 3,519 feet
Average grade: 5.6%
Max grade: 13.5%
